How to add a vehicle
Scan or type the VIN and Nitro recognises the make and model. Where to add a vehicle, which fields are required and what can wait.
Nitro Serwis is in Polish. The screenshots show the Polish interface; each label is quoted in bold, with its meaning in brackets.
In Nitro a vehicle always belongs to a client: with it you see the car’s order history, mileage and cyclic maintenance. That’s why adding a vehicle always starts with its owner. There’s no need to copy details by hand: the VIN is enough.
Where to add a vehicle
- From the vehicles list: Pojazdy (Vehicles) → Dodaj pojazd (Add vehicle), then pick the client the car belongs to. On the phone, vehicles are in the Inne (More) tab.
- From the client’s page: in the client’s details, in their vehicles section.
- From a new order: the Dodaj pojazd (Add vehicle) button under the picked client; once saved, the vehicle is picked in the order straight away (see the vehicle intake guide).
- Together with a new client: the Dodaj pojazd (Add vehicle) switch under the client form (see the article on adding a client).
The VIN instead of typing
At the top of the form is Wyszukaj po VIN (Search by VIN). Enter the 17-character number and tap Szukaj (Search). Nitro recognises the make, model and generation, reads the model year from the VIN and suggests the possible engines. Pick the right one and the form fills itself in.
What to fill in
Only Marka (Make) and Model are required. On a computer, the “Wymagane pola” (Required fields) box next to the form lists them. The rest is optional but worth having:
- Identyfikacja (Identification): the number plate and VIN; you’ll find the car by these in search;
- Dane pojazdu (Vehicle details): generation, year, engine, fuel and gearbox; useful when choosing parts;
- Stan techniczny (Technical condition): mileage, MOT date and insurance;
- Notatki (Notes): anything worth knowing about the car for next time.
Finally, tap Dodaj pojazd (Add vehicle). The vehicle appears on the vehicles list and with the client. Missing details (the plate, mileage or MOT date) can be added later by editing the vehicle.
